Have any of you read Bondage of the Will by Martin Luther? I have to read it for a class that I am taking. I read it several years ago for a class that I was teaching, but this time I am actually taking more time with it. I did not appreciate it for what it was then as I am now. It is quite funny and entertaining at times. Luther is answering a diatribe set down by Erasmus concerning the doctrine of free will. Luther is very colorful when it comes to painting a picture of Erasmus's writing, and his arguments, very colorful indeed. When it comes right down to it Luther is a logician at heart. His arguments are pretty much irrefutable. Luther makes me feel better about some of the words I have used as I have lashed out at my TV recently while watching the news. Great book for those of you who like a challenge, theology, and a little bit of humor mixed in.

Great book! I've read most of this, but need to go back and re-read it now. Luther is very interesting to read and he's right on track. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
